Bobcat Trail Marathon

The Bobcat Trail Marathon is a single loop course with rolling hills entirely within Burr Oak State Park, including hiking and bridle trails as well as portions of the Buckeye Trail. Approximately 90% trail and 10% asphalt. This is sure to be a marathon that will challenge you.

DATE: Sunday, November 6, 2011

7:00am, Course Closes @ 2:00pm (7 hour limit).  Early start option at 6:00am.  It will be necessary for any partipants who chose the early start option to bring a headlamp/flashlight as well as their own nutrition and hydration supplies.  First aid station opens at 7:15am.  Contact race director at info@oneworldtrailrunning.org to confirm early start option.

PACKET PICK-UP: Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm or Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 6:00am to 6:30am, both at Burr Oak State Park Lodge.  Race packets will not be mailed.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Loop course with rolling hills entirely within Burr Oak State Park, including hiking and bridle trails as well as portions of the Buckeye Trail. Approximately 90% trail and 10% asphalt.

COURSE FEATURES: Challenging and aggressive trail marathon with minimal, but some, pavement – mostly access roads from trail to trail. Course will be well-marked with several creek crossings and will have well-stocked aid stations.

AID STATIONS: Approximately every 3.2 miles stocked with water, PB&J, pretzels, potato chips, candy, fruit, soda, and Hammer Nutrition products. In an effort to minimize paper waste, all participants are strongly encouraged to carry a water bottle.

WHAT YOU GET: Gender specific race shirt and post race meal for all registrants; finisher awards. You must complete the entire race within the 7 hour time limit to earn the finisher award.

AWARDS: Top 3 male & female; top male & female master; top male & female grandmaster; age group awards

REGISTRATION FEE: $65 until July 1, 2011; $80 until September 1, 2011; $95 thereafter. Registration closes on October 15, 2011. There is no race day registration.

REFUND POLICY: Bobcat Trail Marathon will not offer any refunds, transfers, or deferrals of entry fees.
